If the new ILUX version of the Starclass feels a bit conventional, despite its industryfirst automatic climate control, then Knaus also offered a fresh, modern alternative. The brightly coloured PEP might look youthful, but it marks the UK return of a name from the past: Tabbert. There were two models on show (a family-friendly layout will follow), both four-berths: the 1500kg, £23,799 490, with a fixed front double bed and corner washroom; and the clever 540 (1700kg, £25,599), whose large fixed twin beds can be converted into a double. Both feature a rear lounge, generous payloads and cheerful interiors, albeit with exposed Truma heater and no cooker. AC
