HOW CAN I FIND OUT MORE ABOUT MY VAN?

-

Some 30 years ago, I bought a Berkeley Coachworks Fibraform 148 caravan, which had been destined for the scrapyard. It was in need of some work, but was complete except for the curtains. However, owing to it having been stored in various locations and me not having had the time to restore it, the van now needs extensive restoration,

which with luck, I now have the time and facility to carry out. Before I start, though, do you know where I can get details of the history of this caravan? I have tried various search sites, without much success. David Adams

You’re in luck, David. I have a full history of the company, plus a brochure about the Berkeley Delight. It was a GRP caravan built in two halves, bolted together, and was manufactured for one year in 1956. Berkeley Coachworks demonstrated its strength at the Earls Court show by taking a hammer to it, then showing how easy it was to repair – as you do!
