1 Highfield Farm Touring Park

-

The eight acres of this perfectly flat park are neatly arranged – the spacious pitches are set around the perimeter, so you won’t feel hemmed in at all. The site is on a working farm, but you can expect a peaceful atmosphere in the undulating Cambridgeshire countryside. The nearby village of Comberton has shops, a post office, a pub and an 18-hole golf course, so you won’t have to go far for your holiday essentials. The site also has an impressive list of amenities, including four clean and modern shower blocks with hairdryers, washing-up areas, a small lending library and a wellequipped launderette. There’s also a small shop, good lighting throughout the park, 10A electric hook-ups, information about local attractions, and a dog exercise area. For those wanting somewhere to stretch their own legs, there is a pleasant 1.5-mile walk around the farm’s boundary, from which you can admire the surrounding countryside. If you decide to go a little further afield, you can hire bicycles a few miles away in Newnham. The campsite is also ideal for visiting the city of Cambridge, with access to a park and ride service at Madingley Road, or a bus stop just a short walk from the site entrance.
