Move your finger on it to see how you can move it around. 8 To find Britain (it’s tiny to start), move the globe until the expanse of light brown (the Sahara) is level across the middle of the screen. Britain is now in the 11 o’clock position. Alternatively, use the search function. 4 You’ll be offered a number of options. Google Earth should be at or near the top. Click on Download cloud icon or ‘Install’. It then downloads. 5 Once processed, press ‘Open’ button. 6 The app opens with a short tutorial. Press the ‘Skip’ button if you prefer! 9 To zoom in and expand the image, place two fingertips close together on the screen, then slide them apart. The map expands and shrinks as you move your fingers in and out. 10 If you repeatedly zoom in, you’ll begin to see more detail on the map. To move the map around, use one finger. Type ‘spirit level’ into the search box. 3 You’ll be offered a wide range of spirit level apps. 4 1 7 Click on the Navigate bar and select your choice of navigation app (we like Waze). 8 You might have to give permission to open the app. After a few seconds, Waze will open. 9 Tap ‘Go’ to open the navigation app, then you can begin your journey, knowing your exact destination to within three metres! 5 Tap your destination into the text box and then hit ‘Go’. 6 Your destination appears on the map.
