C Mum and Dad drove me, my brother and my sister from Aberdeen to various spots in Italy in the early 1970s, in our Hillman Imp with trailer (check out my brother’s kilt!). Shortly after this camping trip, they bought a Sprite Alpine and Dad drove us all to Spain every summer for our holidays, where they continued to visit long after we kids had all left home.
