YOUR BEST CLASSIC CAFES

Your nominations pile in for the nation’s favourite roadside eatery

-

The polls are open and there is still time to tell us about your favourite cafe, as the PC team prepares to embark on a trip to all four corners of the UK to judge your top nominations.

Joining forces with insurance specialists Footman James, we still want you to tell us where you get the very best breakfast, cup of tea and service. Once your nominations have been counted, Team PC and FJ will hit the road to sample the most popular and,

while we are at it, we will be asking you to join us en-route for a cuppa with your classic.

‘This is your chance to celebrate you favourite cafe,’ said editor Danny Hopkins. ‘Go to practicalclassics.co.uk/

bestcafes and nominate. As a thank you, we’ll enter you into a draw to win a subscription to PC.’ You can also enter a competition to win a V8 engine coffee/tea table worth £200, while you’re there – what’s not to love?

We have already had advice from truckers listening to Alex Lester’s night-time programme on BBC Radio 2, who have been recommending their favourite haunts. Alex told PC: ‘My listeners love a fry up, so they’re making their voices heard on the matter!’

Photojournalist Sam Mellish, author of Roadside Britain, has been offering his wisdom, too: ‘They are unique places and need to be preserved; we should celebrate them.’ Get nominating!
