‘242,000 miles so far… and still giving 48mpg’

Editor Danny Hopkins had a doppelganger for my own 405 (PC, September 2016). Mine is a daily driver workhorse and camper (a decent size bed, if you also unbolt rear seat base). It’s a diesel (48mpg) and the photo here is of it mid clutchchange at the kerbside. I’d love the occasional use of a driveway with 240v power! My 405 has got 242,000 miles on it so far, and hey, it’s a hassle sometimes – suspension components wear out and so on – but it ain’t that big a deal.
