Valve clearances

Remove the rocker cover (two ⅝in AF nuts). Renew the gasket unless it’s in excellent condition. Set the valve clearances using the ‘rule of nine’ – set valve 1 with 8 fully open, 2 with 7, etc. Cold clearances (for inlet and exhaust) should be: 0.015in (0.38mm).
