Clutch hydraulics

Check the master and slave cylinders for leaks, corrosion and dodgy dust covers. Clearance between the pedal pushrod and master cylinder piston: 0.030in (0.75mm).

Underbody fasteners

Make sure all running-gear component fasteners – including the wheel nuts – are sound and correctly tightened.

Interior

Test the function of all instrumentation, panel lamps and switches. Make sure the pedal rubbers are in good condition. Check the seat belts and mounts (if retrofitted).

Hinges and catches

Lubricate all catches and hinges with fresh oil or aerosol grease. Wipe off excess.
