I liked the Memory Lane picture in the March issue . I recognised it as Regent Street straight away and for a moment thought I was in the picture until I saw the date and realised the Minx in it was a Series 3. I didn’t buy my Series 2 Minx until 1964, but seeing ‘white over antelope’ and a badge bar with auxiliary lights brought back good memories. Danny – I see that you have got yourself a Renault Avantime. I was looking to buy one when they were new (I liked its quirky looks) but when visiting the dealer I was not impressed by the build quality and thought that the stories I had heard about Renault shoddiness were maybe true. I seem to recall that it didn’t sell and was a very short lived model. Ithat I just happened to be reading last week. Ken Horne, London
