Joshua Briody plans miles for Metro

Iwanted something small and cheap but also a bit different and a bright red Metro is certainly that. I tracked it down locally – the previous owner had it about a year and he bought it from the original owner. What made this car a must-have was its condition and mileage: 11,800 miles since new with all its history. I didn’t haggle as it was a fair price and the owner had been messed about by someone so wouldn’t go lower than £1000. What also surprised me was how much people like them and the memories they bring back. My plans are simple: get it to 100,000 miles then keep driving it. They are disappearing so people put them away for the winter, but whatever the weather, wind, rain, shine or snow, you will see me driving my little Metro. Got a buying story of your own?
