‘It's so reliable’

1999 Ford Escort 1.6 Finesse Paul Simpson, Harrogate

As an avid PC reader I thought I'd send in some pictures of my daily driver. As you can see it’s a 1999 Ford Escort 1.6 Finesse… I know it will probably never become a classic like the Escorts before it, but I would just like to say that it’s the most reliable car I have ever owned. It starts first time without fail and – here’s the good bit – all for the tiny purchase price of £300. Why anybody buys a modern or brand new car when this sort of value is available defeats me.
