My husband Peter and I are the proud owners of two 2.5-litre Riley RMS: a 1951 RMB that we acquired in 1992 and our current project car, a 1946 RMB. We would not have had either car if we hadn’t stumbled across the Riley RM club stand at the Manchester Classic Car Show in 1992. Jaque Morris said ‘hello’ and the rest is history. The club members were so friendly and full of fun that we decided to buy a car and join in – that’s why we got the 1951 RMB – and we haven’t looked back. Now I am the Chairman of the club, having been membership secretary for the past five years. The RM is a great car, such a classic bargain for what it is. If you visit rileyrmclub.org.
