‘Myself and my family absolutely love her to bits’

1958 Morris 1000 John Easy, Cambridgeshire

-

This is Martha, a Sage Green Morris 1000, and she has been in my family since the early Eighties. She is a Cambridge girl through and through, being bought by the archetypal ‘Lady Owner’ when new. She was then looked after by the garage foreman who later bought her to become her second owner. It was from him that she found her way to my Mum. After a few years of ownership my mum decided that Martha (a name given to her by my children) needed some work and so, in 1989, she paid a visit to Ian Allen, at Minor Services, for a ground-up restoration. He did great work, and she is largely in the same condition today, although a little road worn now. She came to live with us around six years ago and myself and my family love her to bits. She’s not going anywhere soon.
