Clever bodywork

The body comprised 11 curved aluminium panels. These were intended to be die-pressed, but were initially hand-beaten by ex-hughes Aircraft craftsman Zeke King. Some panels were intended to be attached by aircraft-style Dzus fasteners, allowing removal for servicing. Faired-in headlamp covers slid back to reveal fixed light units. The hard-top could be removed by releasing four toggle bolts.
