Practical Classics again to launch our next special edition for fans of the Jaguar Mk2.

The Car SOS presenter and former PC technical editor will introduce the publication, which details the story of the resto he and John Simpson completed on the mag’s most epic project – the Mk2 wreck brought back to life between 2008 and 2013.

Fuzz co-managed the project with John Simpson, who says the car was a total basket case.

‘It was so bad, nobody else would have bothered,’ he says. Just after we bought it, we displayed it at Beaulieu. A Jaguar specialist there told us it was the worst he’d ever seen in his 20 years of restoring Mk2s.’

The special publication – out May 10 – will detail the biggest and most expensive rebuild PC has ever carried out. ‘We had our ups and downs but when it was finished, the car was stunning,’ John adds. The magazine gave the finished car away in a competition won by enthusiast and PC reader John Watson, who still owns the Jaguar today.

The special issue also features history, driving, buying, restoration and maintenance advice for Jaguar’s iconic saloon.

There are more than 20 of the marque-specific bookazines available now, Fast Fords being teh latest. More information on each one of them can be found here: Greatmagazines.co.uk/ practical-classics-specials
