‘The DKW Spider is the only one in the UK’

1961 DKW 1000 Spider, 1973 Jensen Interceptor III Richard Briggs-price, Brighton

-

I bought this 1961 DKW blind from an owner in Frankfurt about four years ago after my partner and I first spotted one in the Audi museum in Ingolstadt, Germany. It’s a beautiful design and we immediately fell in love with the shape. We shipped it to England for a restoration, it wasn’t in the best of shape. The results speak for themselves… we believe it’s the only one in the UK. The engine is as extraordinary as the body being a three-cylinder two-stroke lump. A contrast to our biggest classic (we have a few), the Interceptor we also bought about four years ago. It looked great (see pic) but we started doing a few jobs and opened up a can of worms. So it has also undergone a restoration and we've just been informed its ready to collect. Should be mega.

?? ?? Interceptor is refreshed and ready to return. Not bad for a car bought completely blind!
