Dynamic voltage drop

Turn your multimeter to the 20V DC range. Connect the appropriate lead to the positive battery terminal and the other to the starter terminal. Operate the starter. The perfect reading is 0V; the worst is battery voltage. About 0.2-0.5V is OK.
