Tech Tip

Use oil-filled radiators for background heat. Halogen heaters are useful for drying.

Cleanlines­s

Clean the area from top to bottom, starting with light fittings and rafters. Use a bug-bomb if necessary to kill insects. Sweep the floor, wait, then sweep it with water before spraying.

Heat

Heat the workshop the night before to between 8-20°C. If the temperatur­e is too low, solvents won’t evaporate. If it’s too high, the paint will dry too quickly. Humidity causes a raft of problems.
