ENCOURAGING YOUNGER DRIVERS
I am keen to attract newer loan cars for younger enthusiasts. I had expected some offers after the piece in Juy’s PC, so maybe people need to be reassured on potential risks. We have worked hard to set up an agreement, fair to both parties, and have a vetting scheme to select appropriate young drivers.
I did trawl club officers at the Old Ford Rally. We will see if any dip their toes. A Capri or Cortina MKII would be just the sort of cars to put up for prospective younger drivers.
We also had the Model A loan car on display. Model A fan Richard Gordoncolebrook, aged 26, has used the car and he and its owner have accepted an offer from Peter James Stewart Miller Insurance to have the car on their NEC stand to give more exposure
