I’ve owned a Reliant Regal, Robin, and Rialto. They were brilliant little cars and didn’t roll over at all.

Never been in or driven one, but I respect their longevity despite Clarkson’s moronic jibes.

I passed one on the M42. He was sat at 70mph with a huge smile. That was a man living life to the full. It was an old R-plate, too. I worked in a garage and was cleaning the pit out when another mechanic drove a Robin straight into it. Lucky escape!

My first car was a Reliant. Many happy memories and I still miss that car.

I had a beige 1976. My daily drive was an MG Montego but the Reliant was more reliable! Then an attractive lady in an XR3 said ‘nice one, Del Boy’. It had to go!
