‘It had been asleep for over nine years’

1997 BMW Z3 Nick Smy, Oxford

As an avid PC reader I thought I would send some pictures of my 1997 BMW Z3 that I found with my daughter on the way to get food for our dog, Luna. The car was being advertised as spares and repairs as it had been asleep for nine years and didn't start. I originally bought the car for parts as I needed a driver’s side mirror and seat for my other BMW… many parts are at a premium for Z3s. However, it was a different story when I got the car home. I washed it off and decided it was too good to break and within four days, I had it running. Three and a half weeks later, it passed its MOT with no advisories. I think it's turned out pretty well but what would it look like if Fuzz got his hands on it?
