Two-wire moving iron

Basically a simple ammeter, but also used for other purposes. Needle tends to react instantly. Usually wired to +12V and the sender. It must be wired the right way round or it’ll read backwards.

Tech Tip The gauge’s needle might be damped with special grease to slow its reactions.
