Club awards are go
Glitzy Club Oscars are back for the PC Resto Show weekend...
The finalists of the 2018 National Car Club Awards have been revealed. The popular awards, supported by Practical Classics, celebrates the UK’S classic car clubs, the heart and soul of the classic motoring community. The awards are held in association with Tourism Ireland, supported by Classic Car Weekly and endorsed by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC). The winners will be revealed at the awards dinner on Saturday 24 March 2018, during the Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show at the NEC.
The finalists in ten categories have been announced, with a further seven due to be handed out to clubs exhibiting at the show by the judging team. The finalists in the coveted Lifetime Achievement award are also yet to be revealed.
The 2018 judging panel includes Danny Hopkins, editor of Practical Classics; David Simister, editor of Classic Car Weekly; David Whale from the FBHVC and David Boyce from sponsor Tourism Ireland.
This year’s contest sees the welcome addition of some new awards, including the National Car Club Young Member of the Year, the Best Car Club Contribution to Charity, and the Best Live Demonstration on a Car Club Stand at the Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show, with Discovery.
