Where Danny is under fire from our merry band
I f you are currently at the PC Resto Show then I hope you’re having a cracking time. It’s taken a whole year of hard work to prepare and we want it to be the best ever. Do get in touch and tell us what you enjoyed about it and what you would do to make it even better next year. Most important come and say hello to us (and our cars). The PC stand will be rammed with classics, the Rover 75 coupé (see p44) and the winner of the 2017 Restorer of the Year competition.
The Skill Shack Restoration Theatre will have my Riley RMA in attendance, while the Peter James stand will be looking after my Pathfinder and my Discovery V8 will be in the
Practical Classics’ Parade next to the Live Stage. Matt Tomkins will be there with his Minor Convertible, Matt George’s TR6 will be on the PC stand and on the Live Stage James Walshe will be restoring his Citroën 2CV… all in one weekend! In the club stand area, Matt G will be displaying his Triumph 2000 with the TR Youth, Sam Glover will be showing his SAAB 92 and his Jowett Javelin will be with the Jowett Club.
Pride of place, however, will be our Austin Westminster project. It will star on the Federation of British Historic Vehicles stand as a completed project… our biggest ever. Ready for its epic 1000-mile trial round Britain between April 18 and April 23. Come and see it at Bicester Heritage on Drive it Day (April 22) before its triumphant return to Anglia Car Auctions, where it will be auctioned to raise money for the Lennox Children’s Hospice on June 16. on with the show!
