It’s that time of the year when car clubs come together for their biggest events of the season – their national day or weekend. And many of these are open to all enthusiasts to show their own classic, regardless of what badge it wears.

The Rover Sports Register (thersr.co.uk) will be taking over the grounds of Newby Hall near Ripon in Yorkshire (HG4 5AE) on June 24. The club’s Richard Bryant comments: ‘The event is open to all Rovers and Land Rovers. There’s a road run on the Saturday and the show takes place on the Sunday.’

If you’re a Triumph fan you need to be at LN2 2NA, Lincolnshire Showground, on June 29-July 1. Wayne Scott of the TR Register (tr-register.co.uk) told PC: ‘Our International Weekend should be the biggest gathering of Triumphs in the world as we’ve teamed up with Club Triumph and Pistons in the Park (pistonsinthepark. co.uk) to create the Standard Triumph Marque Weekend.’

How about Shelsley Walsh on July 28-29? That’s when the Triumph Sports Six Club

(tssc.org.uk) will be holding its annual Triumfest international weekend, with the chance to drive the historic hill climb and take a trophy home from the concours.

The Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club’s spectacular Summer Festival will be at Wroxall Abbey on July 1 (jec.org.

uk). On the same day, the Alfa Romeo Owners’ Club (aroc-uk.

com) will be taking over Weston Park near Telford. Then on July 14-15 it’s the biggest Vauxhall gathering of the year, the VBOA National Rally (vboa.org.uk) at LE16 7QB, Market Harborough Showground, leics.

Following the cancellation of its National Weekend earlier in the year, the Panther Car Club is going to pull out all the stops on August 10-11 at Sharnbrook Hotel in Bedfordshire. For more on this, check out panthercarclub.com.
