Interactive area makes the PC Resto Show unique

-

The latest news from the PC Resto Show and the wider classic world.

The creative teams behind the Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show, with Discovery, have unveiled ‘Classic World’, an exciting new interactive arena. Classic World with Discovery will allow the audience to be completely immersed in the action by sitting, as they will, on an island in the middle of the most exciting roundabout in the world.

It will resound to the thrum of dozens of classics, whether they be restored cars, PC staff cars or Sporting Bears super cars.

The arena will include a live stage along with three key corners – ‘Work in Progress’ where you can see the ongoing works on Danny’s Pathfinder and Matt’s supercharged Minor. Staff Car

Sagas – with James Walshe’s newly completed Citroen CX Turbo, Matt George’s (loud) TR6 and (we hope) editor Danny’s Interceptor. ‘Barn Finds Revisited’ will be home to three cars previously featured in the Barn Finds section of the show.

The stage will also welcome interviews and insightful seminars with guests such as TV motoring restorers Ant Anstead from Wheeler Dealers, PC alumnus Fuzz Townshend of Car SOS, and Jimmy

De Ville from Goblin Works Garage and Fifth Gear.

There’ll also be some hot topics discussed including the skills shortage and the ‘dying arts’ of classic restoration, electrification of classic vehicles, restoration versus preservation, the future of fossil fuels and MOT exemption. There will also be the opportunity for you to get involved behind the wheel, as each day will see six classic car owners invited to show off their cherished car and drive it on the Classic World ‘Magic Roundabout’. Email danny. hopkins@bauermedia.co.uk if you would like to be considered for this.
