Certify your car

If you own a pre-1978 Rootes or Chrysler vehicle, the ever-industrious Rootes Archive Centre Trust (RACT) has just the thing for you: a personalised heritage certificate. The RACT’S Andy Bye told us: ‘The certificates have been available for a little while, but we’re now having a push to raise funds for the Trust as well as to help lots of classic car owners. These certificates reconfirm the data about your car, like an

identity logbook, and they increase the provenance by confirming original details where we have them.’ The certificates cost £45, but if your car has already been issued with one and you’d like a reissue with your own details on it, the RACT can do an updated certificate for £25.
