BONDING WITH MARINA

I just want to say how chuffed I was to see Danny’s project, the Marina coupé. I was an only child, completely in awe of my dad, who was a fireman in the Bristol Fire Brigade until 1980. He was my hero for sure. And that same dad made a choice in 1976 to purchase his second Marina from Bristol Motor Company. The car was a 1.8 Super Deluxe in Tahiti Blue. My Dad drove it as our main family transport until 1980 when he bought a Renault 14 GTL (VYA462W). I formed a bond with the blue Marina.
