What car today will be a classic tomorrow?

Honda E, Alfa Giulia, BMW i3 and the Jimny because Suzuki UK has axed it already. Colin Barrett

The GT86/BRZ and the MX5. And the new Jimny. Otherwise I find pretty much all of the currrent overweight, oversized offerings about as soulful and appealing as my washing machine. Frankly if I had to buy a new car to go to work and run the kids about in I’d probably get a Jazz. At least its not pretending to be anything other than white goods on wheels. Neil Hewitt

Is it just me or do all new cars just look like angry kitchen appliances? Andrew Hill

The first Honda Hybrid in the UK. HONDA Insight wasn’t it? Jake Blight

I remember the days when the scrappers were full of RWD Escorts, nobody wanted them, you couldn’t give them away but look at how they’re worshipped now. Nick Graham

The new Alfa Romeo Giulia, definitely. Iain Downs

I’d suggest the R50/53 Mini range. Designed by Rover and fitted with a Chrysler engine. Andrew Gurry

Often the sporty model of any car becomes interesting and gains classic status. I predict something like the humble Nissan Juke (personally I hate them), but they are everywhere, so few will survive, end up in collectors hands and turn up at shows. Alan Woods
