There’s just something intriguing about a povertyspec Golf. That thick, tweedy upholstery and the blanking plate where the stereo should be… VW was ruthlessly mean to its customers. But it does show the Golf in its purest form. Granted, it wasn’t as pretty as the original Golf but, boy, it sure was made to last!
