Rover P4 Drivers’ Guild

Making the best of the current situation

-

Last year was certainly a very different one for the P4 Driver’s Guild! National and local lockdowns prevented members from using their beloved classic cars as much as they would have liked. It has allowed some folk the time and space to take on projects in the garage and the club has seen many restorations, car improvements and general garage tidying being done on its Facebook page.

Like most of the country, club and committee meetings have been conducted online, making the best of this situation, with members staying in touch to support each other, which is so vital during these times. The club was also lucky enough to be able to hold the Northern National Rally in the Lake

District in September, complete with social distancing measures in place.

Changing times

The Rover P4 Drivers’ Guild committee has been busy restructuring and focusing more on encouraging younger members into P4 ownership and using social media to better support its members. A new position on the committee has been created in aid of this and Duncan Hurst has made great progress already, including creating a new Instagram page. A brand-new website is currently being developed, too.

Plans are being worked for an All Rover Rally at Burghley House and for another Roverfest to be held in 2021. The 2017 Roverfest managed to attract over 800 Rovers! The Rover P4 Drivers’ Guild continues to evolve so that owners and enthusiasts can continue to enjoy their P4s.
