Abrand new attraction dedicated to everyday classics that we all remember is set to open in the heart of Derbyshire this month. The Great British Car journey is the brainchild of Richard Usher. He told PC it all came about after the purchase of a humble Austin Maestro. ‘It gave me such a wave of nostalgia. Then I realised how few of these kinds of cars are left, so I decided to do something about it.’
The attraction houses over 100 classics, all British and none of them ‘traditionally exotic’.
Most notable when compared to other museums is ‘The Great British Car Journey’s’ unique ‘Drive Dad’s Car’ experience.
This allows visitors to try out a range of vehicles from a humble Mini to a Rolls-royce. Visitors can choose a drive from three different ranges of classics: Classic, Premium or
Luxury and then take a drive around a special circuit on site.
