Practical Classics (UK)

The Big Picture

We launch our Camper Round the Coast tour for Prostate Cancer.

-

Practical Classics has teamed up with our friends at Lancaster Insurance to create a very special round Britain event in our project 1979 Bay Window bus. The plucky little Volkswagen, currently on the restoration home straight in the PC workshop, will lead Britain’s longest classic car show all the way around Britain – this September.

But to make that happen we need to know where to go, and that’s going to involve you. Camper Round the Coast will see the Lancaster Insurance sponsored bus take to the roads of Britain, exploring the coastline and hunting for Britain’s best beaches. We need your help to find them, so this is the big call for nominations.

Tell us where to go by visiting the nomination site at lancasterinsurance.co.uk/ Crtc-best-beaches. Make sure that you give us the name and location of your favourite beach – the beach you would love us to visit on our marathon round Britain blast in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. The top 10 nominees will be published and that’s when you can vote on your favourite from the list.

Then, Britain’s five favourite beaches, chosen by you, will then be visited by the Practical Classics/lancaster Insurance team – with a pop-up classic show occurring as close to each as possible. You are welcome to come along and join us on the runs between beaches as well… we’ll publish the route in future issues.

We will showcase the camper and tell the Camper Round the Coast story at the NEC Classic Motor Show on November 12-14 where Silverstone Auctions will auction off the bus off to raise

money for Prostate Cancer UK – Lancaster Insurance’s, and partner restorer CBR Classic Restorations’s, chosen charity.
