TOUR ESSENTIALS
WHEN TO GO
We toured in the autumn, when the weather was a bit wild. Exeter is near the coast, so the summer might be better if you want to make the most of the beaches in the sunshine. WAY TO GO
We had a short break at Taunton, then followed the M5 south. At junction 30, we left the motorway and took the A376 to Woodbury. WHERE WE STAYED
Castle Brake Holiday Park Woodbury, Exeter EX5 1HA

Open 15 March to 4 November
Pitches 80
Charges From £18 to £45
is pleasant campsite has lots of seasonal pitches, which meant that it was very quiet when we visited in the autumn, because most of them were unoccupied. It also has a bar and restaurant, a small shop and comprehensive recycling facilities. FOOD AND DRINK
We were self-catering most of the time, but if you prefer to dine out, there’s a lovely restaurant at Castle Brake Holiday Park, or you can use the restaurant and facilities at nearby Ladram Bay. FIND OUT MORE
