SUSANNA IN 7 QUESTIONS
1 What’s your signature dish?
Oddly, it’s probably something like lasagne or roast chicken, although, being a pescatarian, I don’t eat either. My boys, though, seem to love them. I rely on them 2 to tell me if my cooking tastes okay! What book is on your bedside table? Big Little Lies by Liane 3 Moriarty. What’s the last movie you loved?
The latest Spiderman blockbuster was brilliant, not so much for the film itself, but for the simple reason that a movie and popcorn outing with my three boys is a huge treat. 4
Your guilty pleasure? I was pretty
much addicted to Love Island.
It had its detractors (Piers being the biggest of them!) but, aside from being compulsive viewing, it posed interesting questions about the nature of attraction and why we fall for the people we do. 5 What are your beauty essentials?
I can honestly say that I have no beauty regime aside from regular spray tans and getting my roots done! 6 Favourite room in
the house? I love our kitchen because it’s where we all hang out, but it’s not very smart and Kirstie Allsopp would hate it – it’s also where I have my washing machine and dryer! If I need to retreat, my bedroom is my sanctuary and has wall-to-wall books. When I’m not spending time with the kids, my favourite thing is a good book. 7 What one thing might improve your life? I’ve been thinking hard about getting a family dog, especially since reading Dog Medicine: How My Dog Saved Me From Myself by Julie Barton. It’s a beautiful book that left me convinced that dogs are so good for your mental health. They get you out, they teach your kids about love and responsibility. They’re also always pleased to see you and are brilliant for high blood pressure.
