One 50g ball of Debbie Bliss Rialto
DK in each of Chocolate 05 (A) and Ecru 02 (B) and oddments of Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino in Olive 312 (C) and Red 34 (D).
Pair each of 3mm, 3.75mm and 4mm knitting needles.
Yarn sewing needle.
TENSION
22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over st-st using 4mm needles and Rialto DK.

With 3.75mm needles and A, cast on 101 sts. Beg with a k row, work 3cm in st-st, ending with a p row. Change to 4mm needles and cont in st-st for a further 12cm, ending with a p row.

Join the seam, reversing the seam for 4cm at the lower edge to allow the hem to roll.
HOLLY LEAVES (make 3)
With 23 sts. 3mm needles and C, cast on 1st row (WS) Kfb, k9, kfb, kfb, k9, kfb, k1. 27 sts.
K 1 row. 3rd row K1, m1, k12, m1, k1, m1, k12, m1, k1. 31 sts.
K 1 row.
5th row Cast off 3 sts, [slip st back onto left-hand needle, cast on 3 sts, cast off 6 sts] to end.
Fasten off.
Fold cast-on edge in half and join seam.
HOLLY BERRIES (make 3)
With 3mm needles and D, cast on 2 sts. 1st row K2.
2nd row Kfb, k1. 3 sts.
3rd row [Kfb] twice, k1. 5 sts.
4th row K5.
5th row K2tog, k1, k2tog. 3 sts.
6th row K3tog.
Fasten off and leave a 5cm length of yarn. Tightly tie the 2 yarn ends together to form a berry.
TO FINISH
Using the yarn ends, attach one berry to each leaf and then stitch the leaves to the top of the hat.
