True to the Beatrix Potter story this movie is based on, Mr Mcgregor (Domhnall Gleeson) inherits a cottage and plans to renovate and sell it on. However, a bunch of animals – led by the lovable Peter Rabbit (voiced by James Corden) – have other plans. Director Will Gluck (Annie) skilfully combines live action with animation in an update that’s modern, yet honours one of the best-loved children’s stories ever written. A family must-see. Alicia Vikander steps into Angelina Jolie’s shoes – and skin-tight armoured hot pants – for the next instalment of Tomb

Raider, which sees our girl try to rescue her father Richard (Dominic West) who is missing in the Far East. Oscar winner Vikander trained for months to become the heroine. She doesn’t disappoint. Out 16 March UNSANE

After an outbreak of ‘canine flu’, dogs are quarantine­d on an island near Japan. When a 12-year-old boy, Atari, manages to get to the island, a pack of dogs try help him find his beloved mutt, Spot. This features a stellar cast, including Scarlett Johansson, Frances Mcdormand, Greta Gerwig and Bill Murray. Out 30 March
