Recipe rescue
Overheating chocolate while you’re melting it can cause it to split and become grainy. Don’t panic! Quickly remove from the heat and stir in a small handful of unmelted chocolate. If that doesn’t work, try mixing in 1tsp boiling water, a dash of hot milk or cream, or a little melted butter.
