Sting and actress Trudie Styler first got together back in the 1980s. However, it wasn’t until 1992 that they actually decided to marry. They have four children together, and renewed their vows in 2012 at a ceremony in India.

Sir Elton and David Furnish have been together since 1993 and got married when same-sex marriage was legalised in 2014. ‘We feel it is our duty to do it to make sure that everyone knows,’ Elton said at the time.

TINA TURNER

After a tumultuous marriage with first husband Ike, Tina and record company executive Erwin Bach got married in 2014 after 28 years together. She has since described marriage as ‘that happiness when you can finally say, “Everything is good”.’

The Unforgotten actress met fellow actor Barnaby Kay at the age of 25, but they got married only five years ago. ‘I was quite daunted by the idea of marriage,’ she said. ‘My parents had the most amazing partnership – no one wants to be the one who gets it wrong.’
