EMMA’S SLEEP SAVER: COUNT YOURSELF TO SLEEP

Tune in to the rhythm of your breathing; when you’re relaxed, begin counting your breaths (one inhale and one exhale) backwards from 50. With each, say to yourself, ‘I am breathing in and out 50,’ and so on. If you lose your way, start again. Do this for five minutes, or as long as it takes to fall asleep.
