MEASUREMENTS

To fit bust 81-86(92-97:102-107)cm; Finished measurements Bust 94(104:114)cm; Length to back neck 53(55.5:58)cm; Sleeve length 40cm.

MATERIALS

● 11(13:14) 50g balls of Debbie Bliss Rialto dk in Ecru 23.

● Pair each 3.25mm and 3.75mm knitting needles.

● 3.25mm circular needle, 40cm long.

TENSION

24 sts and 32 rows to 10cm square over st-st using 3.75mm needles.

NOTES

● All measurements are taken from the start of the broken rib on body and sleeves, excluding the st-st roll edge.

● Yarn amounts can vary, depending on the colour used, some dyes are heavier than others, usually the darker ones.

BACK AND FRONT (BOTH ALIKE)

With 3.25mm needles, cast on 129(141:153) sts. Beg with a k row work 6 rows in st-st. ** Change to 3.75mm needles. Next row (RS) K1, [p1, k1] to end. Next row P to end. Rep the last 2 rows once more. Beg with a k row, work in st-st. Work 11(13:15) rows. Dec row K6(7:8), ssk, k to last 8(9:10) sts, k2tog, k6(7:8). Work 13 rows. Rep the last 14 rows 5 times and the dec row again. 115(127:139) sts. Cont in st-st until back measures 35(37:39)cm from start of broken rib, ending with a p row.

Shape for yoke 1st side

1st row K48(52:56), wrap 1, turn.

2nd and every foll WS row P to end. 3rd row K40(42:44), wrap 1, turn.

5th row K32, wrap 1, turn. 7th row

K24, wrap 1, turn. 9th row K16, wrap 1, turn. 11th row K8, wrap 1, turn. 13th row K across all sts, working wraps and wrapped st together. 2nd side 1st row P48(52:56), wrap 1, turn.

2nd and every foll RS row K to end. 3rd row P40(42:44), wrap 1, turn.

5th row P32, wrap 1, turn. 7th row

P24, wrap 1, turn. 9th row P16, wrap 1, turn. 11th row P8, wrap 1, turn. 13th row P across all sts, working wraps and wrapped st together.

Shape raglan armholes

Cast off 5(6:7) sts at beg of next 2 rows. 105(115:125) sts. Work 8(4:0) rows. Dec row K13(15:17), [ssk, k2tog, k21(23:25)] 3 times, ssk, k2tog, k13(15:17). 97(107:117) sts. Work 7 rows.

Dec row K12(14:16), [ssk, k2tog, k19(21:23)] 3 times, ssk, k2tog, k12(14:16). 89(99:109) sts. Work 7 rows.

Dec row K11(13:15), [ssk, k2tog, k17(19:21)] 3 times, ssk, k2tog, k11(13:15). 81(91:101) sts. Work 7 rows. Cont to dec in this way on the next row and 2(3:4) foll 8th rows. 57(59:61) sts. Work 5(3:1) rows. Leave these sts on a spare needle.

SLEEVES

With 3.25mm needles cast on 53(61:69) sts. Beg with a k row work 6 rows in st-st. Change to 3.75mm needles. Next row (RS) K1, [p1, k1] to end. Next row P to end. Rep the last 2 rows once more. Beg with a k row, work in st-st. Work 5 rows. Inc row K4, m1, k to last 4 sts, m1, k4. Work 9 rows. Rep the last 10 rows 9 times more and the inc row again. 75(83:91) sts. Cont straight until sleeve measures 40cm from cast on edge, ending with a p row.

Shape raglan top

Cast off 5(6:7) sts at beg of next 2 rows. 65(71:77) sts. Work 8(4:0) rows. Dec row

(RS) K8, [ssk, k2tog, k11(13:15)] 3 times, ssk, k2tog, k8. 57(63:69) sts. Work 7 rows. Dec row K7, [ssk, k2tog, k9(11:13)] 3 times, ssk, k2tog, k7. 49(55:61) sts. Work 7 rows.

Dec row K6, [ssk, k2tog, k7(9:11)] 3 times, ssk, k2tog, k6. 41(47:53) sts. Work 7 rows. Cont to dec 8 sts in this way on the next row and 2(3:4) foll 8th rows. 17(15:13) sts. Work 5(3:1) rows. Leave these sts on a spare needle, do not cut yarn on second (left) sleeve.

NECKBAND

With RS facing and 3.25mm circular needle, work across sts of left sleeve, front, right sleeve and back, as follows: 1st round K2tog, k13(11:9), ssk, k2tog, k53(55:57), ssk, k2tog, k13(11:9), ssk, k2tog, k53(55:57), ssk. Place a marker to show beg and end of rounds. 140 sts. 2nd round [K1, p1] to end. 3rd round K to end. 4th round

As 2nd round. K 6 rounds. Cast off.

TO MAKE UP

Join all raglan seams, taking one st from each edge into the seam. Join side and sleeve seams, reversing seam to allow the edges to roll.
