South African born animator Jess Cope started her career working with the likes of Tim Burton and on the popular kids’ TV series, Postman Pat. In 2012, Cope was introduced by Roadrunner Records to Storm Corrosion, the collaboration between Steven Wilson and Mikael Åkerfeldt of Opeth, and she animated and directed the music video for their track Drag Ropes.
Wilson then approached her to work on his solo albums and she has subsequently created music videos for the tracks The Raven That Refused to Sing, Drive Home, and Routine. In conjunction with Partizan, Jess directed People Who Eat Darkness and
Song Of Unborn from the Steven Wilson album To The Bone. She has also directed music videos for Metallica, Devin Townsend, Skyharbor and Passenger.
Steven Wilson begins the world tour in support of his new album To The Bone in
November. For more on Wilson and tour dates, see www.stevenwilsonhq.com.
