Events remain on hold

THE 2020 gala diary remains very much 'on hold' as railways await further developments in the ease of restrictions on lockdown.

Many lines are continuing to appeal for donations to help overcome a huge shortfall in income, and some have come up with innovative ways of raising funds to bring in revenue. For example, the team who organise the Severn Valley Railway's diesel galas have produced a number of 'lockdown' items such as mugs and T-shirts with a logo featuring locos wearing face masks (see www.svrdiesels.co.uk).

As per last month, the situation regarding future events remains to be confirmed (TBC)with short-notice alterations to take place, so please check with the railways concerned before making any plans.
