Dapol ‘N’ gauge announceme­nts

‘N’ gauge modellers will be delighted with recent announceme­nts from Dapol, the most exciting of which is the imminent arrival of decorated samples of its brand new Mk.3 sleeper coach model. Liveries include GWR, First Great Western, ScotRail and BR liveries alongside some department­al schemes. The models are expected at the end the summer and will be priced at £29.95 each.

The humble Class 142 ‘Pacer’ is set for a second release with delivery pencilled in for the first three months of next year. Five models will be available including BR Provincial No. 142053; ‘Skipper’ GWR chocolate and cream as No. 142022; Northern Rail No. 142096 and Mersey Rail No. 142042. Analogue versions will be priced at £139.95.

‘Dogfish’ ballast wagons are also set for a return with seven new models in various liveries being announced for delivery in the first three months of next year priced at £17.95. BR olive green, BR black and the modern yellow and grey ‘Dutch’ livery are among the new batch of models. KMS Railtech special edition Mk.3 sleepers

KMS Railtech of Aberdeen has teamed up with Dapol to offer some additional ‘N’ gauge Mk.3 sleepers in twinpacks decorated in First ScotRail and Caledonian Sleeper teal liveries. Four packs are available for pre-order at www.kmsrailtec­h.co.uk/318-2mmexclusi­ves. A deposit of £5.80 secures a twin-pack which will retail at £58. Only 200 of each pack will be produced which will be available at the same time as the Dapol catalogue models.
