Revenues rise at Bombardier
Revenues and orders at Bombardier Transportation rose in the first quarter of 2017, credited to progress on major projects and major orders in France, Germany, Switzerland and Malaysia.
Revenues increased from $1.88 billion (£1.46bn) in the first quarter of 2016 to $1.92bn this year, while the order intake increased from $1.2bn to $2.2bn. Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) - before special items - also rose by 27%, to $177m.
Executive Chairman Pierre Beaudoin will step down from his role on June 30, although he will continue to serve as non-executive chairman.
