Virgin launches plan for start-ups

-

Virgin Trains and Virgin StartUp are launching a new programme called PlatformX, to identify start-up companies which could develop innovations for rail travel.

To take part in the programme, companies are invited to submit and pitch ideas. Those selected will gain access to mentoring from Virgin Trains’ senior management team, external specialists and experts from across the Virgin Group, over a five-week programme.

The four areas where Virgin is seeking submissions are: ensuring customers have good end-to-end journeys; helping Virgin understand its customers better; tackling operational challenges caused by disruption; and ideas that are already helping customers in other sectors and how they could be applied to the rail industry.

Applications can be made at https://platformx.co.uk, with submissions required by May 28.
