Visitors travelling by rail to this year’s Rail Live exhibition (June 21-22) can benefit from a 15% travel discount, courtesy of Great Western Railway.

The offer applies on all GWR routes between June 20-23, but is only available by booking online at: http://www.raillive.events/visitors/travel/, where terms and conditions are also available.

The discount applies to Cotswold Line services between Paddington and Hereford serving Honeybourne, the nearest main line station to the showground (near Long Marston).

From Honeybourne, a shuttle service is due to be provided by Vivarail’s prototype D-Train 230001, linking visitors directly to the Quinton Rail Technology Centre and the show.

“This is the first time since Rail Live began in 2014 that we have been able to offer a rail connection from Honeybourne directly into the showground,” said Colin Flack, chairman at the Rail Alliance.

“This is a very exciting development for the show and offers visitors a unique experience. We are delighted to be working with Vivarail to be able to facilitate this,”

More than 3,000 visitors are expected to visit the UK’s largest outdoor rail exhibition, which is being brought to you by the Rail Alliance in partnership with RAIL. More than 100 companies will be exhibiting, alongside infrastructure, track and rolling stock, electrification and signalling demonstrations, and a seminar series presented by RAIL. Further details to follow.
