New showcase for Hucknall heritage

Heritage murals have been relocated on Station Road bridge in Hucknall, after the derelict shops where they were previously displayed were demolished.

Network Rail moved the murals to the bridge, which reopened following a six-month closure as part of the railway upgrade. They depict aspects of Hucknall’s heritage, including coal mining and framework knitting, and have been renovated by original artist Peter Massey.
