LT’s 4TC on hire to Swanage

London Transport’s 4TC has gone on hire to the Swanage Railway for its WarehamSwanage main line services. The former Southern Region Mk 1 set will replace a rake of West Coast Railways coaches. WCR will still provide traction for the trains, with a ‘37’ top and tailing the 4TC with either Swanage resident 33012 or WCR 33025. On June 30, WCR 37516 hauls the 4TC through Millbrook with the 1435 Eastleigh-Swanage. The 4TC has been overhauled by Arlington Fleet Services at Eastleigh Works.
